IFSO Scheme Independent Review
Every 5 years, the IFSO Scheme is required to conduct an independent review of its complaints handling service, aimed at continuous improvement of the IFSO Scheme’s performance.

The 2023 review is underway. The IFSO Scheme Commission has appointed Prof. John McMillan AO to conduct it. Prof. McMillan has considerable experience in Australia as an Ombudsman, independent agency head and administrative lawyer.
A particular focus in the 2023 review are the principles of independence and fairness that guide the IFSO complaint handling service.
Prof. John McMillan has prepared a Consultation Paper setting out the parameters of the 2023 Review and inviting feedback.
